Mahmud Muhammad, the Personal Assistant on Domestic Affairs to Vice President Kashim Shettima, has called on Nigerians to remain patient and resilient in the face of the economic difficulties arising from the current administration's reform agenda. Speaking on behalf of the Vice President’s office, Muhammad stated that the economic pain Nigerians are enduring today is a necessary phase in building a more stable and prosperous future.
He emphasized that President Bola Tinubu’s economic policies are designed to overhaul a system long plagued by inefficiency and dependency. While acknowledging the discomfort these changes have caused, Muhammad stressed that such sacrifices are essential for lasting economic transformation.
“This period of hardship is not without purpose,” Muhammad said. “The reforms are aimed at ensuring Nigeria becomes a self-reliant, productive economy. It’s a difficult journey, but the rewards will be immense for the nation and its people.”
