Manchester United Appoints Ruben Amorim as New Head Coach Amid Leadership Shake-Up

Manchester United has appointed Ruben Amorim as their new head coach, replacing Erik ten Hag. The Portuguese manager, aged 39, joins on a contract through June 2027, with an option for an additional year.

Amorim will assume his role on November 11, after his duties with Sporting CP conclude, and Manchester United paid a release clause of £8.3 million to secure him. Known for his success with Sporting, including two Primeira Liga titles, Amorim is praised as a promising talent in European football.

Ruud van Nistelrooy will serve as interim manager until his arrival.
